Within Medipol University EU-supported Jean Monnet Module project titled “Green Deal, Sustainable Trade and Türkiye’s Integration”, carried out by project coordinator Prof.Dr. Rana Atabay Kuşçu, has been successfully completed. Summer school was held in lavender gardens in Bodrum Garaova Agricultural Park in cooperation with Bodrum Institute. The event had enjoyable and informative discussions with a wide range of participant profiles including university students, sustainability managers, sustainability consultants and lawyers. Students from many different departments (international trade, international relations, industrial engineering, biology) and disciplines of various universities became the color of the summer school. Many thanks to the panelists who supported the summer school with two panels; Borsa İstanbul AŞ Deputy General Manager Mr. Güzhan Gülay, Former Deputy Chairman of the T.C. İklim Değişikliği Başkanlığı and Vice President of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget Advisor Ms. Arzu Önsal, Enerjisa Üretim Deputy General Manager Mr. Emre Erdogan and German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) Head of Department Public and Funded Projects, Market Consulting and Trade Fairs, Ms. Pauline Seyfert. Additionally, we would like to thank to Bodrum City Council Executive Board Member Ms. Feyha Karslı and Bodrum Ticaret Odası Bodrum Chamber of Commerce Vice President Mr. İbrahim Akkaya. We would like to thank for her contributions to the project, Marmara University Faculty of Economics Lecturer, Prof.Dr. Esra Yüksel Acı who took part as an instructor in the module. Also, with special thanks to the project assistants Gülsena Samsunlu, Dilara Türk, Fatma Melike Aşcı and Sercan Aslan. Our university’s EU-supported 3-year project will continue to generate benefits with new participants.
